Information the site collects

steampunkary.com does not require accounts, has no comments and no newsletter, and does not ask for personal information to read its pages. The web server and the site’s security software (Wordfence) keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request) for security and troubleshooting, and the security software uses them to block attacks. They are deleted on a rolling basis.

If you email the editors, your message and address are kept only as long as needed to respond.

Cookies

The site itself sets no tracking or advertising cookies, so it shows no cookie banner. The site’s search-engine plugin (Yoast SEO) only describes the pages to search engines and collects nothing about readers. The budget switch on the Outfitters’ Catalogue works in your browser and stores nothing.

Analytics

The site may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and referrers in aggregate. No analytics data is sold. If the site adds an analytics tool that sets cookies, this policy will say so first and the site will ask for your consent.

Fonts and images

The site is written for a general audience, and some of its costume and craft guides are for families. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
