Summer is the most popular time for Steampunk and Comics conventions, so we wanted to make sure to include some new posts featuring costume ideas. This Steampunk costume accessory is so small that sometimes people forget about them or don’t see them when cosplayers add them. And we are talking about spats! Such a simple addition for such a cool look. So we went to Etsy to see if there were any vendors making spats. We were surprised to find so many varieties including leather, fabric, tapestry and lace spats. This page illustrates a cross-section of the Steampunk Victorian spats we found on Etsy.
These xenomorph-inspired spats are made-to-order, so allow a few weeks for delivery. These spats are made from 100% recycled leather. They are thigh-high spats with a lace-up back and two buckle straps to go around the heels. These will easily fit someone with a calf measurement of 11 – 16 inches, and will fit a thigh measurement of 16-20 inches.
