Bohemian and Victorian Home Decor Accessories and Wall Art

Steampunk Victorian Spats for Cosplay Costumes & Daily Wear
Summer is the most popular time for Steampunk and Comics conventions, so we wanted to make sure to include some new posts featuring costume ideas. This Steampunk costume accessory is so small that sometimes people forget about them or don’t see them when cosplayers add them. And we are talking about spats! Such a simple addition for such a cool look. So we went to Etsy to see if there were any vendors making spats. These are made using vintage Swiss military gaiters as a pattern except they are slightly taller, 11″ instead of 9″ and slightly bigger around. Made with an oiled black leather and antiqued brass hardware.

These are made from top-grain leather with the natural range markings. Leather is mid-weight, oiled to be tough and durable, yet supple with a rich textured finish. Straps are lined to give them weight & stability. Spats are very pliable and conform nicely to calf.
